We are proud to announce that a CRADLE Lab paper has been accepted at the IEEE ICDM MLC Workshop, held as part of ICDM 2026 in Shenyang, China. The paper is a multi-dataset study of PassGAN password guessing, looking at coverage, repetition, and password strength as the approach is scaled up.
The Accepted Paper
Scaling PassGAN Password Guessing: A Multi-Dataset Study of Coverage, Repetition, and Password Strength
Aarav Goyal, Ali Arslan, Suleyman Uludag
A study of how PassGAN-style password guessing behaves when scaled, evaluated across multiple datasets.
Congratulations to the Team
Congratulations to everyone involved! This acceptance is a great result for the team, and a particularly proud moment because the paper’s first author is one of our high school researchers.
A special thank you to Aarav Goyal, first author of the paper, for an outstanding contribution as a high school research intern; to Ali Arslan for his work and mentorship on the project; and to Dr. Suleyman Uludag for his guidance throughout.
We look forward to sharing this work at ICDM 2026 and to announcing more results from the lab soon.
